Movies, Math, and More Monday, July 27

Hello everybody, and welcome to Movies, Math, and More Monday!

Let’s start our animation week off right, with Kenzie telling us all about the original Pokémon TV series.

Then, hear what Andy has to say about Gravity Falls, a cartoon that has something to offer for viewers of any age.

Bonus math questions. Get an extra point each for answering these questions:

  • There are about 890 Pokémon. Ash can catch 11 per day. Rounded to the nearest whole number, how many days will it take Ash to catch them all?

  • The first episode of Gravity Falls aired on June 15th, 2012. The final episode was February 15th, 2016. How many days passed from the day the first episode was on until the last episode aired?

To send us your answers, you can fill out the message form on the Contact page above, or send an email to any YEP advisor. All our email addresses are on the Contact page as well. However you get us your answer, we’ll make sure you get your point.

Thanks and have a great day,

The YEP Team

Andy, Jennifer, Kathy, and Kenzie
